DSB International School Achieves Council of International Schools (CIS) Accreditation
We are delighted to announce that DSB International School has been successfully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS). This represents our second international accreditation, alongside our accreditation from COBIS (Council of British International Schools), further affirming the strength and quality of the education we provide.
CIS accreditation is widely regarded as one of the most rigorous international school accreditation processes. It evaluates schools against globally benchmarked standards and examines every aspect of school life, from leadership and governance to teaching and learning, student wellbeing, safeguarding, and community engagement. Achieving this accreditation is a clear and independent validation of a school’s commitment to high-quality international education and continuous improvement.
DSB now joins a select group of schools that meet these standards. Out of more than 800 international schools in India, only 23 schools hold CIS accreditation, placing DSB among some of the most respected educational institutions in the country. Even fewer schools hold accreditation from more than one international accrediting body, making this recognition particularly significant for our community.
Being a CIS-accredited school signifies a strong commitment to internationally recognised standards. It means that the school:

CIS accreditation is recognised across the world as a benchmark of quality education. Students from CIS-accredited schools benefit from an education that is globally respected, and are preferred by the top universities due to the rigour and international outlook of their educational experience.
This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of the entire DSB community. We extend our sincere thanks to our staff, governors, senior leadership team, parents and students, whose positive engagement and shared commitment to the school’s values were instrumental throughout the evaluation process. The enthusiasm, collaboration and sense of community demonstrated during the accreditation review highlights the strength of our learning environment and the inclusive culture we have built together.
We are extremely proud of this milestone. More importantly, it reinforces our mission to provide an education that develops confident, compassionate and internationally minded learners who are well prepared for the opportunities and challenges of a global future.
