DSB International School is managed by the Deutscher Schulverein Bombay, a not-for-profit trust and is the oldest International School in Mumbai. Every parent automatically becomes a member of this trust upon enrolling their child. Governors are elected from among these members and serve a tenure of three years. The Board also has the option to co-opt observers, ensuring that we continue to benefit from global perspectives and strong international partnerships.
At DSB International School, we are fortunate to be guided by a committed Board of Governors, comprising parents from our own school community, with the valued support of observers from the British Deputy High Commission, Mumbai and the Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany. Together, they bring a wealth of experience, perspective, and passion for education. The Board works in partnership with the Head of School to provide strategic direction, financial stewardship, and oversight of safeguarding and compliance. Equally important, the Board serves as a critical friend—offering guidance, support, and constructive challenge as we shape the future of the school. Guided by the rigorous standards of the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). This ensures that DSB continues to grow stronger while staying true to its purpose: enabling every student to thrive as a confident, ethical, and globally minded citizen.
