Students who obtain the DSD2 - the highest qualification, are eligible to apply for free university in Germany.

  • The Big History Project in Year 8

DSB was one of only eleven pilot schools in India to introduce The Big History Project.

The students have undertaken the study of 13.8 billion years of history. Funded by The Bill Gates Foundation and hosted by Macquarie University of Sydney, the Big History Project has been a huge hit with the students. The BHP has a dedicated web based class-platform incorporating cutting edge academic videos and info-graphics. It incorporates superbly researched articles (that have alterable reading levels to suit different reading styles) to deliver a truly cross-curricular approach to learning.

Starting with the Big Bang the students have studied amongst other topics; the formation of stars as the universe expanded, creation stories, how planets were formed, plate tectonics, the chemical components to life, evolution and on into human pre-history and history. Quite a journey!
