Parents were treated to a musical extravaganza on Friday morning this week with performances at Garden Campus. Throughout the term, children from Years 1 -4 have been working hard learning, playing, improvising a

nd composing music with Miss Lisa and Miss Wendy and we wanted to celebrate their achievements.

Opening the event, the KS2 recorder groups wo

wed the audience with their jazz versions of Twinkle, Twinkle little star, two part harmonies and the main theme from Stars Wars. After that, we were treated to some musical offerings from our younger performers in Years 1/2 with a variety of songs and dances. Next it was the turn of Year 3E to showcase their rhythm pieces composed to accompany a song about the Ancient Egyptians, followed by the Year 4 finale, a new Darth Vader theme inspired by John Williams original Imperial March.

It was a super way to end a busy term and to welcome in the holidays!
