Years 4E, 5E and 6E have had a fantastic time during the iRobokids sessions this year. They have learned what robots are, where robots are used and how they work in various conditions such as space, underwater, deserts and so forth. They have learned about the different sensors used by robots to grasp information from their surroundings. The children had the opportunity to test the sound sensors, light sensors, touch sensors, ultrasonic sensors and rotation sensors!
They made a “Taskbot” which involved programming it to move back and forth. This week, on Monday, the 9th of May, they had a challenge to perform which was called 'Mars Orbiter Mission.' In this challenge they had to apply everything they learned in their lessons. Some teachers and children from other classes came to visit and to have a look at what they have achieved.
