Throughout the year we have several groups of visitors at the school.
These will either be students from other international schools, local or international artists, such as the Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI), and The Woodstock School Jazz Ensemble, who visited us for special interactive days and performances.
We also partner with various local organizations to promote an understanding of the local communities and sense of social responsibility.
This year, we organized holiday gifts for children at several educational sites and continued to partner with The Akanksha Foundation, an NGO whose mission is to provide educational opportunities for less-privileged children.
See the boxes below.
We visited a kindergarten class of the Foundation for Mother and Child Health and the Muktangan School to give the children presents we collected when St. Nicholas came to us. We introduced ourselves, and sang holiday songs and The Bare Necessities.
They sang Hindi and English songs for us. After that we gave them the presents and they were really happy when they saw what was inside. The smiles on their faces were so big! After that we talked to the children for a while before leaving. We felt so good doing this and we were proud of ourselves.

The Akanksha Foundation is an organization that helps educate less-priviledged children.
Some of the children visited us for half a day of fun, games and activities. We met them in the garden and took them to do some activities. There were children of all ages. We did painting, drama, ball games and parachuting. We also ate snack together. It was a lot of fun and we hope that they come back to visit us once more.
