The ethos of the DSB International Secondary School is to provide a safe, caring, stimulating and supportive environment
in which pupils may develop as well educated, enthusiastic, balanced and independent learners, with an awareness and understanding of others and as happy, responsible international citizens.
The school offers a well-balanced curriculum following the British National Curriculum in Years 7-9 in the English Section and the German Curriculum of Thűrigen in Years 5-8 in the German Section up to the age of 14.
In the English Section, this will be followed by the subject courses for the Cambridge University International General Certificate of Education
(IGCSE), which will be examined at the end of Year 11, age 16. In the German Section, the standard of teaching follows the Gymnasium-level which can be differentiated to Real or Hauptschule-level if necessary. It will be possible to sit for the examination of Secondary I Level (Realschulabschluss).
