English as a Second Language (ESL) or as an additional language (EAL) through immersion classes and specific skills lessons provides for the needs of second language students within our school. Our initial aim is to foster the acquisition of survival language to enable students to cope with the practical aspects of class and school life. Once basic structure and vocabulary are in place, our next aim is to assist students in acquiring the necessary spoken and written language to function fully in the mainstream academic programme.
The school has a small well equipped IT facility with broadband internet access extending to all classrooms enabling Information and Communication Technology to be an integrated part of the learning programme.
The swimming pool, volleyball court, grassed and cement areas and air-conditioned room at the Breach Candy Club and the small air-conditioned dance room at the Mahalaxmi gymnasium close to the school are all used as venues for Physical Education lessons, sports clubs and dance and drama classes.
