Our Primary Years programme focuses on the development of the whole child from age 5-10. The programme is divided into Years 1-6, again using the best practices from the German Curriculum of Thűrigen
in the German section and the British National Curriculum in the English Section.
The curriculum aims to provide a rich blend of academic, physical, social, artistic and cultural activities. We hope to encourage all students to strive for excellence, to be inquisitive, to support and tolerate the needs and differences of others and above all, to enjoy learning.
In accordance with the tradition of DSB International being a German school all students from Year 1 onwards study German as a foreign language. Additionally, as we are based in India, all students from Year 1 onwards study Indian Cultural Studies.
Current subjects offered during the primary years: Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Physical Education, Humanities (History/Geography, Religious Education, Indian Cultural Studies), Modern Foreign Languages (English and German), Information Technology, Art, Design and Technology and Music.
